Paper phone books are next to useless these days, unless you need a test subject for potentially destructive experiments. In this video, a pro car guy named Steve Meade tests out his new sound system by shredding an entire phone book with bass. Meade says a bunch of names and numbers of speakers that mean absolutely nothing to me, but the pages of the phone book ripping and flying everywhere make his point quite clearly: my speakers are cooler than your speakers.

It's shredding the phonebook with the air that's moving in and out of the speaker box port. The bass has nothing to do with it.
