The NFL is currently "locked out," which means the sportball players don't get to play sports (or get paid seven figures for playing sports). I guess that means they're all going to be looking for new jobs. And in this down economy, even an administrative assistant gig might appeal to an out-of-work professional sportist.
In this comedy sketch, a nerdy manager who hasn't even heard of the ESPN (or whatever it's called) interviews a professional catching, running-type guy for a job answering phones and making copies. At first, it seems like sports don't provide too many transferable skills for the office environment, but the joke is on the manager. Although the NFL guy is actually the most qualified candidate for the job, he is already a Ferrari-car-equipped millionaire who does not need to work in an office in order to afford food and cable television. Zing!
