Pam Kueber of retrorenovation.com has made a very sincere video walkthrough of the things she would change about her bathroom remodel, and you couldn't make it any funnier if you tried.
She fusses about light switches, regrets getting the 34" shower floor instead of the 36", and visibly struggles with the important question of whether to install a grip bar. She's like a Christopher Guest character, but in real life. (Note to Chris Guest: if the popularity of reality TV hasn't broken your heart yet, the time is right for a home improvement mockumentary!)
Look, I'm not mocking Pam. The things she thinks about aren't stupid. In fact, she's just like us! Hell, we use our bathrooms every day. It would be hard not to muse a little bit about the placement of the toilet paper holder and the amount of elbow room in the shower. It's just that Pam is the only one who decided to turn those musings into a video and then put it on the internet.

Funniest ting ever? Really? You guys need to get out more.
Pam's great - so's her website. It's her attention to detail that makes her who she is. For those who don't know, Pam Kueber, is among other things, maybe our nation's foremost expert on mid-century metal kitchen cabinetry. This may also sound kind of ridiculous, unless, like me, you're really into mid-Century design, mid-Century kitchens, and classic metal kitchen cabinetry.

And a side note if she has to do it again... You can use grout sealer on that grout.

She reminds me of my old landlord. WAY WAY WAY overly serious about herself... and it comes off as a little crazy.

She's hung up on a grab bar but she's not going to do a thing about that hideous wallpaper? Ludicrous!

I'm not sure I understand the funny part to this video. Yeah it's a little silly to be concerned about these things in the scope of everything else in the world, but it's downright ordinary to do so within the context of your own trade.
I don't do home renovations, but an attention to detail and a critical eye for one's own work would be two qualities I would look for in a professional that did.

The terms vapid, shallow, and yuppie scum come to mind.
And, Pam, darling---the humor is/was indeed unintentional.
