When natural disasters strike like the earthquake and tsunami in Japan you have to sift through the madness and tragedy of it all and cling to stories like this one just to stay sane. While searching for survivors in a helicopter above the wreckage of a house swept away by the Japan tsunami coast guards spotted a dog walking on a roof floating in the water.
This dog managed to survive not only the earthquake and tsunami but also being stranded at sea for three weeks which is truly remarkable. Perhaps this story can help bring hope to the people of Japan, still searching for more than 18,000 people still missing after the disaster. Given such dire circumstances, I think hope is going to play a integral role in Japan's recovery process. It is nice to see one happy ending emerge from this chaos.
