Rebecca Black went on Leno Tuesday night to perform her internet hit song "Friday" and answer some questions about her career and her haters. She thinks some of the videos parodying her are funny and some of them are ... not so good. She liked the one we picked for our Rebecca Black Parody/Cover/Remix roundup, though, so I guess we're on the "funny" list.
... and, since you're definitely wondering: yes, her performance was still grievously auto-tuned, and no, that weird middle-aged rapper/producer guy didn't "rap." Also, the most embarrassing parts of the song ("Gotta have cereal," "Which seat will I take?" and the part where she recites the days of the week) were mercifully cut to spare TV audiences.
I'm still not sure what this whole Rebecca Black thing will turn out to be, but her producers, Ark Music Factory, have some huge announcement planned for tomorrow, March 25th, which is (gasp!) a Friday. Stay tuned for what we hope is a big reveal that this whole thing has been an elaborate joke.

Anybody else think she lip-synched that "performance" on Jay Leno??? I do.
I'm sorry -- there is simply NO talent here in her singing, or the music (lyrics, melody - 4 notes???, etc) or even really the video production. Simon Cowell probably wants to meet her because he has some snarky, yet truthful, remark on her performance/talent that he can't wait to say.
But to this girl's credit, she seems like she has a sweet personality. I just feel bad because in 10 years she's going to look back with horror at herself. 10 years? Hmmm.... might not take that long!

Totally lip-synched. You can tell by when the music and chorus starting when she has the mic, but it's not even at her mouth. Nice girl, but a failure of a singer.
