The boy falling asleep with his bulldog should watch his back, because girl falling asleep with a popsicle in her mouth is here, and she's not messing around.
Sure, it's easy to stay awake when there's a TV blasting in the background and a bunch of people on the couch with you -- but this girl has none of that noise to keep her awake. Plus, this popsicle is like a time bomb. It's gonna melt if she doesn't finish it soon, but she's also... super... tired.

NEGLECT IS RIGHT. The child could blind herself with the stick that is sticking out lon enough to tear the eye open. I raised 7 children to adult-hood and would not take that chance with my child!

What the heck are these parents thinking, with making a clip of this poor child bobbling her head around? It's very obvious, the girl is extremely tired. The popcycle should be taken out of her hand and put to bed, where she belongs. I found nothing funny about this. Maybe not abusive (though the danger of the stick jabbing in her eye, as her head does wobble around as one person mentioned, is possible), but certainly not responsible parenting. Shame on them to find entertainment out their child's need for sleep.

Clear neglect.
The other child, pointed out the child was falling asleep, not any parents. Sad, most parents now days dont have a clue as to how to raise a child.

Did I call it or what. Critize the parent & say it's neglect. Before we had video cameras, we taken still photos & every parent has watched & snickered at the fact their chil is falling asleep doing something. Clearly YellowRose dosn't have a clue and is one of those psycho, loonies whowont allow their child to make a step or decision on their own

This poor child is tired. It's not funny to watch, it's actually quite sad. If I were this tired and unable to help myself to bed I would hope someone would be kind enough to help. Instead, these parents put the video up on the internet after waiting just long enough to get enough footage to be "funny". I feel sorry for the children in this family. Hopefully the little sister or brother in the background (who seemed concerned about the child falling asleep) will help this little one out next time the parents try to gain fame by exploiting their child.

The child should have been put to bed, NOT given a popsicle! And to think the parents thot it funny to videotape? What kind of idiots do that? The child should have been IN bed.

Don, lighten up. I agree though, that parents have taken snap shots (takes only a second and hopefully not with a stick of some sort in it's hand) of kids falling asleep, but it clearly is evident, that this child needs to be in bed, rather than becoming a star for the parents entertainment. Look at her neck and tell me that is okay. I do find that parents today, will make the most stupid videos of their kids. That of one child hitting another, a kid writing on a wall, themself, or another person with crayon or lipstick, and the list goes on with taping something that should be stopped. How can a child be taught something is wrong, when the parent is laughing and taping it? Can't anyone except responsibility any more? And parents wonder why their kids grow up to be unruly.

What ever happened to our English language? Half of the people making comments can not spell on a fifth grade level. That tells me a LOT about the educational level of most of these "experts at child rearing". Who threw away the rules of capitalizing the first letter of a sentance and who discarded the spelling rules? A lot of idiots here!

Um...used in this way, WHATEVER is one word. Also, sentance is sentence - with an E. You criticize people for their spelling...please check your own. Thank you.

Please people. If it were on America's funniest videos there would not be any complaints. Post it on the net & all the loonies complain. Maybe you all should now complain to Dick Clark & tell him his program is teaching child abuse, because we see the same things there. Neglect is not tending to the childs welfare. Abuse is...well I hope you people know what abuse is.

My thoughts went to AFHV's as well, but not as a good thing. I have watched it on occasion, but fail to see the humor in much of it. Just another thing that parents will put their children through, hoping to make a buck....pimping their kid out. I see people laugh at things that are not funny, but then again, I have been to the studios of such programs and they hold up cards to laugh. I've seen clips where parents are taping a clip where they should have been disciplining the child instead. I find it a show that I care not to watch, but we all have our opinions. The parents should have put this child to bed. A quite simple task to make the child more comfortable. Look at this clip again and tell me you really think the child looked rested and in a place she should have been. If you think so...I'm glad you weren't my Dad.
