The 13 Best TV Episodes To Celebrate Summer
There are a lot of bad songs out there these days, and a lot of them manage to get radio play. How, I will never know. But this song by Rebecca Black has to be the worst song ever written, composed, sung out loud or turned into a video. It is called "Friday," and it is quickly becoming viral for how awful it truly is. Rebecca Black is a trending topic on Twitter, and the Friday video has over 1.2 million views.
"Friday" has even inspired others to make their own cover versions that are equally bad, but pretty hilarious. The sad part is, as bad as this song is, it isn't much worse than so many songs we hear on the radio today. This is like a Disney starlet, cutting-room-floor b-side track from hell, so give it a listen and see if you can get it stuck in your head. If you do, I sincerely apologize. It's like someone took a teenage girl's tweets, read them out loud, auto-tuned them, and got this poor girl to perform it. It took the parodies to make me realize she wasn't saying "four word" but "forward," which originally made me think, "No, honey, it's four-LETTER word, not four-word, and also Friday is not a bad word, and also doesn't have four letters or words, I'm confused what's happening."
Also, are those kids old enough to drive?

Yeah, I think back in high school everyone pretty much had their braces off and lost their baby fat by the time they got their licenses. I find it disturbing that parody or not, someone thought it was a good idea to put a bunch of kids this age into these scenarios.

Some of those comments on YT for that video really make me sad. This girl is MY age, and people want her to literally DIE. It's funny though, because you can see those same remarks on random videos all over YT.
It's a shame, people think that they can say anything and not get affected by it, while hiding faceless behind a computer screen and a fake name.
Guys, cut her some slack. She's 13. Do you really think it takes sexual references and foul language to make good music? So what if she doesn't sound like Beyonce? No one sounds like Beyonce besides herself.
It's not that bad, actually. The only reason you wouldn't like it is because you hate kid/age appropriate songs that don't involve sex or language. She just wanted to have fun, and, in my standards, as long as you have fun doing what you're doing, that's all that should matter.

I have a response to the fallacy floating around on YouTube and other sites dealing with this monstrosity, that somehow getting millions of hits and having people talk about this Rebecca person constitutes some sort of "success" that the rest of supposedly will never achieve.
And that is that three million people will also slow down to look at and comment on a train wreck. But that does not mean that a train wreck can be counted a "success."
I highly doubt that this misled girl and her profoundly ego-endowed parents intended this thing to be considered the worst dreck ever unthinkingly drudged up from the putrid bowel of humanity (it is). And because they did not intend for us all to hate it, it is not a success. It is merely a fantastically-traveled curiosity.

I went to see the music video BECAUSE I heard it SUCKED(and boy were they right). This music video is such an epic fail everyone wants to see it. but yeah, Haley is right. If you KNOW it's an epic fail, shut your trap, and keep that info in your head! What is she, 13?! What were you expecting, Alicia Keys?
