Third grade basketball in Portland, OR isn't necessarily where you expect to find the hottest hoops action in the country, but a 9-year-old Oregon kid made a shot this week that was just as exciting as anything you'll see in the NBA. At the buzzer, with his team down by two points, this little dude threw up a one-armed lob from nearly full court, and sunk it.
The incredible shot actually only tied the game, because the league doesn't play with three-pointers, but the team went on to win in overtime. Nice shot, kid! If I had made one like that when I was 9, it would still be one of the highlights of my life. And to all the YouTube commenters calling traveling ... who cares? They're kids, let them enjoy something amazing.
