Friday is International Unfollow Charlie Sheen Day

Welp, Charlie Sheen has been fired from his job over at Two and a Half Men, which means that this recent media blitz is officially a Britney Spears-sized public meltdown and any mention of his name is only adding fuel (and money) to the crack-infused fire. People are already so sick of the hype that there's a Charlie Sheen blocker for your browser, but Jen Doll over at the Village Voice is taking it a step further and wants to hit him where it really hurts -- his wallet -- so she's named this coming Friday (March 11) "Unfollow Charlie Sheen on Twitter Day".

Like us, Doll initially appreciated the meme-y lols that were rolling out of Sheen's manic mouth, but now she's saying enough is enough, and I've got to admit, her reasoning is pretty sound.

"Among his crimes:

Repeated violence to women (he shot one, he threatened to behead another, and then there are the porn stars. Oh, the porn stars.)
Spelling "corner" with a "k."
Insulting Thomas Jefferson. Repeatedly.
Certain men are now using him as a role model. This is not good.
We're tired of #tigerblood and #winning. Really tired.
Thinking about him and his porn star coterie is gross.
He has kids. Come on.
We have made him even more full of himself.
It's not even Charlie Sheen tweeting, anyway."

So if you're like Jen Doll, and you're ready to retire #winning and move on to something else, this Friday is gonna be the day to do it.

Yes. Why? Because following Charlie on Twitter, watching him on UStream, and/or awaiting his next interview is supporting his denial that he IS going through a "rough time", or more aptly a serious decline, one that could easily result in his death. Apparently, you have not noticed that Charlie does not see himself as going through a "rough time,” quite the opposite. In Charlie’s mind your considering his current situation a “rough time” makes you a Troll.
