It's been 25 years since the original Legend of Zelda game came out for the NES and one artist has paid tribute to the game series with a remarkably beautiful -- and remarkably huge -- painting of the cast of characters. This time-lapse video allows you to see the entire creative process sped up and compressed into a 15 minute clip, but this thing must have taken hours to finish.
The intricacy of detail that went into this painting is incredible. Just when you think it could be finished the artist goes over it again with a fine tooth comb. The final product could easily be on the cover of a future game. I have no doubt that fans of the series would be proud to have a print of this masterpiece on their wall. Happy 25th, Zelda!

You won't be able to buy it unless the artist is acting on behalf of the copyright owners of The Legend of Zelda. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to profit from somebody else's creative work, even if it is your take on said work.
