white shadow shoots three basketballs in a row backwardsWelcome to 'Feat of the Week,' in which our pals over at the Universal Record Database (where everyone can set a world record) hand-select one awesome world record to highlight.

Do you consider yourself a fine, upstanding member of the community who brings a gentle smile to people's faces while doing your best to enact social change? Well think again, rookie. You're about to get schooled by the Shadow.

Jason "White Shadow" Gibbons is a Maine resident and member of the Harlem Superstars comedy basketball team. He harnesses the power of his crazy-good court skillz to inspire kids and raise funds for charity. Impressed yet? Well, try this on for size: last month, Gibbons sunk three consecutive baskets from the half-court line. Without looking. While facing backwards. Here's the video evidence:

You might be wondering why the shooting Shadow stopped at three balls instead of picking up the fourth and trying for a hattrick-plus-one. Gibbons informs us that earlier in the session he netted four baskets from five consecutive throws. So, you know, he didn't want to show off. We have no reason to doubt him, because we don't argue with anyone calling themselves The White Shadow.

Reckon you can sink four or more? Power up your video capturing device, record your performance and send it on over to the world record judges at urdb.org. Then think of a cool nickname for when the media start requesting you as half-time entertainment at the NBA.
