What's needed is a two-tiered mega-hug administered by a huddle of adorable children. Sixty-four grinning students from Denver hugged it out en masse in order to beat a pre-existing group-hug benchmark set by a collection of clean cut young men in Nashville.

The Tennessee team was 28-strong, meaning the kids from Colorado smashed their record. Actually, smashed is too harsh a word, given the nature of the accomplishment. Let's just say the record was embraced, carefully guided into footie pajamas and put to bed with a hot water bottle and a night-time story about ducklings.
