Six men with sledgehammers attempted to smash their way into a jewelry store in Northampton, UK this morning, but an elderly woman in a bright red coat spotted what was going on and intervened with the only weapon she had handy: her purse.

Not only was she able to successfully foil the robbery, she also stalled the getaway long enough for a police officer to apprehend one of the criminals. So far, three other men have been tracked down and arrested in relation to the crime.
