googy in his goggles and capeChannel 101, the web show launching pad founded by the guys behind Community and The Sarah Silverman Program, has given us web classics like Chad Vader and The Lonely Island's "The 'Bu." Well, there's a strange and happy little show that's currently vying to become the next big Channel 101 breakout. It's called Googy, and the title character is an adorable Pee-Wee-like manchild in robot pajamas, a towel cape, and rad goggles.

Googy's world is a fantastic mixture of live action and animation. In episode 1, we meet talking toast, a drummer who lives in Googy's ear, a kid police officer, a pretty princess, and some deliquent crows. In this age of cynical and ironic internet videos, I went in expecting some big, sad, serious twist. Maybe I missed something, but I don't think that's the point of the show. It's just a weird, surreal parody of a kids' show that's so much fun that it turns into the real thing. Don't get so busy overthinking it that you forget to smile.
