showtimeIt's always fun to gauge how the rest of the world adapts the talent show phenomenon that kicked off the 2000's with Britain's Pop Idol and our very own American Idol, stateside. It was cute enough when little Lin Yu Chun made a splash on the Taiwanese competition Super Star Avenue with his rendition of Whitney Houston power ballad "I Will Always Love You." But now, things have taken a turn for the worse.

On Filipino talent show Showtime, a contestant wiggled her (her?) way through to perform the same song, albeit dressed liked a gothic, Rastafarian nightmare thief, and it is not safe for anybody. But they sure did love it on the show, and why shouldn't they? They've already seen it on Urlesque!

I knew those filthy dreadlocks looked familiar!
