A-1Bay Area rapper A-1 is really f'ing good. When Urlbot Nick showed me the A-1 track "Golden Girls," I lost my mind, even teared up a little was immediately hooked. Not only had this rapper co-opted the best theme song ever into an excellent new jam, but it was part of a bigger project, an album called After School Special, in which each track incorporates the theme of (and music from) shows our generation, the Millenials, know best. Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers? Check. All That? Check. Family Matters? Hell yeah.

A-1 gets it. Sure, he shares his MC name with a zesty steak sauce, but the dude can afford the silly comparison, considering he's anything but naive. With a Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook page, YouTube channel, and a site where you can download his music for a measly $5 or less per album, the guy obviously knows how to parlay his career using all tools Web 2.0.

Do yourself a favor and check this guy out, and listen to "Levar Burton" (which remixes the theme song to Reading Rainbow) after the jump.
