The Crying Dawson gif is a messageboard staple. So pathetic is his weeping, so relentlessly unattractive and anchored in dramatic teen anguish, that it's the go-to reaction pic for pretty much any unfortunate event.
The geniuses at Funny Or Die decided to get James Van Der Beek into the studio, now ten years after the fateful Dawson's Creek episode where he got dumped by Katie Holmes' character Joey, to create a whole bouquet of awesome gifs for the internet to use in addition to Crying Dawson.
The result is the 'Van Der Meme', and of course there's a website solely dedicated to hosting the gifs.
