If you're living and breathing, you probably have deep childhood memories involving the Muppets, so you're either gonna be really excited or kind of weirded out by Muppets with People Eyes.
It's a single topic tumblr from Wonder-Tonic (the dude who brought you On the Bro'd and the Michael Bay-ifier) that follows two general internet truths:
- we love Photoshop, and
- we love throwback childhood memory stuff

You've got to be kidding! Part of the attraction of The Muppets is their slightly unreal quality. To monkey with the look by giving them human eyes is just sad. Why do people feel the need to tinker with success?

People, get a grip! It's a bunch of PHOTOSHOPPED photos done by a site with bored people looking to do something mildly creepy, stupid and shocking. It's not something the companies (Disney, Sesame Workshop and The Jim Henson Company) that own the puppets are doing. READ the ARTICLE. LOL It's something along the lines of all the FAIL meme pics that annoyingly pop up.

Oh goodness - he doesn't look sweet and cuddly anymore - How is Kermit going to look with people eyes as opposed to pingpong ball eyes? Or Beaker, who was one of my favorites. What a terrible idea.

people eyes and muppets just don't go together! Kinda freaky! Go back to the old Muppet eyes.

Why mess with something that works. The original was better. Don't do a makeover.

Leave the Muppets alone. They don't need "improved" or humanized.

It may work with Stadler and Waldorf, or "The Swedish Chef", but the fuzzy non-human characters? Creepy! You will traumatize anyone who remembers The Muppets by changing their "ping-pong" ball eyes to PhotoShop human eyes. You will traumatize the little children thinking that these strange, funny creatures are looking at them. Leave the "fluffies" alone. Stadler and Waldorf can get away with looking creepy, they are rude and nasty (and funny, sarcastic) enough!

Prayers are with you. My sister has Glioblastoma and had 3 brain tumors removed this last year. She is taking Avastin and doing very well. Her faith in God is so strong and breath-taking. I hope everything goes well with your son.

why must the new generation always mess with a success just to put their two cwents in leave things aone and come up with your own original ideas please. that is why this country is falling apart their is no orginality anymore everyone has to do a remake of famous songs or movies leave the originals alone and come up with your own ideas just like the poeople who did in the first place. use your brain for more than playing video games and lostening to crappy music only to steal the original and change it. I am so sick of everything has to be new and improved when old and normal worked just fine, just so the people can make more money leave things alone. The muppets were created by Jim Henson leave his art alone.

I'm not going to complain about this picture of Fozzy Bear,
but I will say that I prefer the classic ping pong ball look.
Waka, Waka, Waka! I've also become attached to Carmella
The Chicken, and several other Muppet chickens. Bawk, Bawk!
I even dreamed that I was dressed like a Muppet chicken.

That is just so freakin' WRONG! I grew up on the classic Muppets and Sesame Street the Old School way, and I LOVED it! Now Cookie Monster is touting healthy eating instead of being a cookieholic glutton the way he used to be, I heard Oscar the Groucho has moved off "the Street" because his bad attitude was supposedly scaring the kids or something, and now the Muppets are getting Photoshopped real eyes? No, no, no NO! Keep things the way they used to be, for crying out loud! Jim Henson has gotta be breakdancing in his grave to see the way that people are trashing his Muppets today! Don't mess with perfection, people!

Oh NO...!
It's like the cartoon movie producers who think spending a tank full of money on 3D technology means that the movie HAS to be funnier.
It isn't.
It's a smoke screen, like spending a few minutes with a computer program adding a drum kit to a Mozart symphony and thinking that you're doing Mozart a favor.
It's lazy, and it's sick.
