The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were a major part of my life growing up, and likely a part of yours too if you read Urlesque (but if your Ninja Turtles were Howdy Doody, that's so okay, too!). If you're anything like me, you may have even identified with one of the foursome (Team Raphael FTW) and play-fighting soon turned into begging your parents for lessons in the martial arts.
Five men of a certain age (twentysomething) felt the desire to wax nostalgic, and filmed a scene-for-scene tribute that pays homage to the opening sequence of TMNT, despite the one change in sexy roving reporter April's hair color (I don't right off remember her blue coif, but okay).
If Generation X were considered slackers, then we, the "millenials," are the polar opposite: more appreciative of that which made us who we are today, even if that means dressing up like a turtle who does karate for funsies. Turtle power!
