My writer Cole showed this to me. "I hate reimaginings but wow," he said, because he is a judgmental bastard. But he's right. Forget all other "hardcore" Super Mario parodies. This one – a dark trailer of a Mario Brothers movie mocked up with Grand Theft Auto – is the real one.
This one parodies everything and yet feels so real and serious. Characters drop "Sh*t just got real," "Excuse me princess," "Get me everyone" and a billion other famous lines, as well as loads of catchphrases and concepts from the original Mario world. But they still come off as gritty as a superhero reboot.
Even though they're talking without their mouths moving.
It's that badass. That's why I stomped on Cole and stole this post.
He's dead now.

This should be remade into a 2hour "true" Super-Mario movie.
Forget about the other ass-faced Mario-Bros movie, this one deserves the title. It has done something unfreakin-beleivable, made Luigi cool!
