What do Alaska's Bristol Palin and the Jersey Shore's Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino have in common (other than appearances on Dancing with the Stars)? They both want to avoid unpleasant, uh, "situations" when it comes to sex. In a new ad produced by the Candie's Foundation, these two unlikely celebrities talk safe sex and set a new world record for most uses of the word "situation" in a conversation.
These two seem like odd choices to be safe sex spokespeople, considering that Bristol is famous for having unprotected sex, and The Situation is famous for hooking up. Also, why does "B. Palin" turn down The Sitch's reasonable offer of condoms, just because she's not planning to have sex any time soon? Wasn't she just recently making the TV rounds to talk about how abstinence-only education had failed her?
Regardless of the mixed message, the ad is a painful reminder that these two aren't famous for their acting ability. I made it through the whole thing because I am a professional, but I don't recommend trying this at home, kids. Also, SPOILER ALERT: did you know that "abstinence" has the word "abs" in it?

I am glad to see those two together. I would like to see more of Bristol Palin in the future. Those who hate Sarah Palin's daughter can rot.
