Daniel Radcliffe, a British actor who you probably know as Harry Potter, is not just a dork in the movies. He's also a bit of a dork in real life, but in the most awesome way possible: he's memorized Tom Lehrer's entire song 'The Elements,' which (as the title suggests) consists of all the elements in the periodic table. He recently geeked his way through the song on the BBC's Graham Norton Show, much to the delight of the audience and everyone on YouTube.
Radcliffe only stumbled a couple of times, and he managed to spit out the name of every single element, although he did have to shush the audience and start the third verse over before he totally nailed it. Still, how many elements can you sing? Yeah, that's what I thought. 10 points for Gryffindor, Mr. Potter!
By the way, why is every celebrity on British talk shows so damn smart? In the states we make them tell "I do my own stunts" stories to Sherri Shepherd.

Radcliffe shows nerdy side??? He IS a nerd, through and through all the way. If he had a side that wasn't nerdy that would be news.

The problem with the U.S. is we have too many jocks and not ENOUGH nerds...a MAJOR reason we're going down in the world!

Radcliffe mentions Lehrer who is clearly a less-sung, still living genius of the last and this centuries, but unforgivably he does not mention the genius of the 19th century, Arthur S. Sullivan who, inspired by W S Gilbert's libretto for "The Pirates of Penzance" (gently put aside here), composed the "possibly recognizable tune" that Tom Lehrer used to set the elemental names to....
