In the battle of things that are funny, farts usually win. But self-serious local news reports come close, so you can imagine my excitement (USE YOUR BRAIN) when I was alerted to a "news" "report" about a young boy in Florida who was written up and sent to detention for passing gas on the bus.
The report makes The Daily Show's remote pieces look like Nightline, which is not how things are supposed to work. But when a kid describes detention as "preeeeeetty dumb" before we cut to his dad, seated on a couch, reacting to the story like any normal dad would -- by laughing at the idiocy of it all, like his kid's some sort of terrorizing walking gasbag -- I'm all in.
Plus, reporter Emily Valdez says "let it rip" like she's talking referring to mass genocide, but only before "reporting" that 11-year-old Christian is now "secretive on letting one slip." In other words, HARD NEWS = FART NEWS.

hey doofus,
You are apparently unclear on the Fox News "locals", and the Fox News National. Local news often carries these types of amusing stories. Occasionally, the national picks up one from a subsidiary, just as CNN and the other alphabet nationals.
Silly fool.

I just don't understand your reason for your remark. First you are reading Fox News, and you chose to read this report. If you don't like what Fox news reports then just go someplace else.

Sounds like that driver is so tight-assed, she could stand against a wall and suck out a brick.
And it appears that Faux News is continuing in its effort to dumb down America.

I'm sorry but if the gas passed was accidental then there should have been no detention. But I love the fact that he was punished because he thought it was funny and he made a big thing out of it..received attention. I hate that f word....and the fact that people laugh when it happens. When the adults think its ok that's worse.

The gas patrol is in the house. What next? A moritorium against burping? I stink the bus driver was a bit anal. Maybe Bush was right about his thoughts on terrorist in the US. They DO exist. They are on our school busses disguised as children passing noxious and most deadly gas bombs!
