chris hansen
Dateline NBC's 'To Catch a Predator' is a show where Chris Hansen does his part to get pedophiles off of the street by pretending to be an underage girl on a CB Radio and then confronting the men who agree to meet up with him. It may sound like compelling television, but let me tell ya, I've caught an episode or two and it's a bust.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that they're trying to make the CB airwaves safer for our kids -- lord knows it's risky being a young girl looking to talk hobbycrafts with like-minded people within a 50-mile radius of her house -- but they never catch the bad guy! They always hear Chris' voice and get paranoid before he can arrange a time to meet up, or some random person will interrupt their conversation and ruin the mood. It's almost like it'd be easier to trick these pedophiles if the conversation weren't voice-to-voice -- if they were writing letters or something.

Anyways, I'm no TV executive, but something tells me they're going to need to hire a woman to do the talking if they plan on ever luring these men back to the decoy house.
