Stupid Superglue! It's about time they change their packaging, says Irmgard Holm, an elderly Phoenix resident who, following cataract surgery, mistakenly applied Superglue to her eye, thinking it was one of a half dozen eye drops she uses daily.

So, yes, her eyes were glued shut until the paramedics came. Like being buried alive or going blind, but extra pasty.

She's fine now, but Holm has left an indelible mark on the internet in the form of a soundbyte that can only come from a story this bizarre: "I'm not young anymore," she says, "but I'm not senile."

Damn straight. LET THE MEMES BEGIN!

I did the same thing just two weeks ago. I had put on fake nails that day for a special event. I placed the nail glue in my pocketbook in case I needed it later. On the way to the dinner, I started to put my contact drops in my eyes. Same shape as glue container. My eye started to burn. I realized immediately I had dropped the nail glue in my eye by mistake. Thank God I was rushed to the emergency room and my eye recovered. The glue companies should change the shape of their products!!!
