This week in Vimeo was a tight one, dear readers, with the top 3 most-liked videos coming within a few hundred likes of one another. I present your top three here in order.

It's quite the eclectic mix, too, representing each of the main categories that usually become popular on Vimeo. You've got a visual stunner in time lapse vid The Unseen Sea, pro-quality animation in Salesman Pete, and the dark horse candidate for nerds in Gettin' Money With a Mouse and a Wacom Pen (F*** Comic Sans F*** Papyrus, Too).

Enjoy this cross-section of Vimeo life, and we'll see you next week.
The Unseen Sea
The Unseen Sea is a well-edited compilation of Simon Christen's time lapse videos from around the San Francisco Bay Area. There are gorgeous shots of rolling clouds, crashing waves, and all that nature-y stuff you miss when you're glued to the web. Think of it as looking out the window, but way faster and more efficiently than in real life.

Needless to say, you'll want to watch this one in HD.
Salesman Pete
Okay, now that your obligatory break for (ugh!) natural beauty is over, let's get down to the animation! Salesman Pete is the hilarious, brilliantly-animated story of a salesman who's also a killer spy with a talking steak for a sidekick. How did this happen?

No, forget that question. How is this not a full-length feature yet? Get on that, Pixar. Seriously. A steak. It's great. Trust me.
Gettin' Money With a Mouse and a Wacom Pen (F*** Comic Sans F*** Papyrus, Too)
Heads up: there's some NSFW language in this one.

If you're a Photoshop n00b, step away from this rap. A couple of design nerds calling themselves "Money Money Money" decided to set some braggadocio about their graphic design and video production skills to a beat. Here they lay down some rhymes about their awesome special effects and how long their, um, renders are.

Bonus points for dissing on Comic Sans and Papyrus and bigging up Helvetica Neue. It's the champagne of typefaces! (Ok, yes, I love fonts and hip hop more than the average person, but I wasn't playing favorites. This was actually the third most-liked vid on Vimeo this week!)
