This week's Vimeo roundup is all about painting with technology. The most popular video of the week was Making Future Magic, a demo of a phenomenal new 3-D light painting technique using iPads, and another stunning light painting vid -- set to music from Tron Legacy -- landed on the list, too.

Of course, we like to have something for everyone, so we're kicking it old-school with our final popular Vimeo creation of the week, 8BITS, which features 8-bit characters taking revenge on the evil overlords of high-resolution gaming.

Check it all out after the jump.
Making Future Magic:
'Future Magic' is a thoroughly appropriate title for this tech demo from Dentsu London. The light painting here is all done with iPads, and it's all in 3-D. We're not talking about 3-D images displayed on the iPad's screen, though: nope, the iPad gets dragged through space and leaves an amazing light sculpture behind. No wonder this was the biggest thing on Vimeo this week.
Light Drive
Kim Pimmel's 'Light Drive' takes stationary light studies and brings them to life using Arduino-powered motors. The result is a visually stunning array of whirling lights, all set to some badass audio from the movie trailers for Tron: Legacy.
8BITS
In a world where graphics seem to be gaining resolution and becoming more realistic all the time, supporters of 8-Bit gaming have become revolutionaries. One such underground hero takes on the high-res baddies with some old-school moves in 8BITS. Come for the sweet visuals, stay for the amazing chiptune soundtrack.

A word of warning: you might want to bounce over to the subtitled YouTube version of this video, because the voice acting, while awesome, is heavily-accented.
