It looks like we're not the only ones who realize you can improve anything by adding cats. The Tampa Bay Rays baseball team has been rallying fans with a new mascot, DJ Kitty. Anyone who has ever seen the internet will recognize this amusing turntablist kitty as a sort of spiritual successor to Keyboard Cat.

Instead of being manipulated by his owner into playing piano, DJ Kitty is manipulated by a corporate sports machine into scratching along with the sort-of -blah techno hit 'Jump,' by The Movement. Even if DJ Kitty is the mawkish Fred Durst to Keyboard Cat's classy Sammy Davis, Jr., we still have to give the Rays credit for recognizing the amazing crowd-pleasing power of a novelty cat video.
