You guys, have you ever like, stopped to think about how good we have it here in America and been like, "Wow, I really wish I was doing more for other people," but at the same time been like, "I'd probably need to get that Japanese hair relaxing treatment before I ever thought about going anywhere third world," because they won't have outlets for your straightening iron in their lean-to shacks?

Well there's this new tumblr called I Studied Abroad in Africa! that's full of photos of like-minded individuals experiencing African culture and hanging out with real Africans. So if you know someone who spent a really meaningful semester abroad, or even if you just like seeing photos of people having authentic experiences getting their hair braided or posing with impoverished children, this is a lol-worthy single-serving site.
