First, he created an extremely well-produced fake movie trailer for a legal thriller/action movie called 'Blind Justice.' It's a really silly trailer, and you're probably wondering what it has to do with marriage, but bear with me. (Also, if the guy in the trailer looks familiar, it's because he's Ultimate Fighting champion and Dancing with the Stars competitor Chuck Liddell. Nice get, Mystery!)
Second, he added a fake ending to the fake trailer. The action stops, MysteryGuitarMan calls "cut," and he looks at the camera and asks for the theater to turn up the lights.
Third, he rented out an actual theater and got them to show his trailer and raise the lights on his cue.
Finally, he got his girlfriend to go to the movies with him at the appointed time, and recruited some extras to sit in the theater so she'd think it was just a normal date.
The trailer ran, the action stopped, the lights went up, and MysteryGuitarMan popped the question. The answer? An enthusiastic yes! I mean, who could turn him down after all of that?
(And yes, of course there's a YouTube video of all of this. Check it out below.)
