The Stephen Colbert rally the internet demanded is finally here, and it comes with a bonus Daily Show rally!

After Jon Stewart made a tantalizing "pre-announcement" on the Daily Show two weeks ago, and Stephen Colbert promised to respond with an even bigger counter-announcement, we all knew something rally-like was probably coming .... but we never expected TWO rallies in Washington on the same day. It's a double rally all the way across the lawn!

On 10/30/10, Stewart is hosting the Rally to Restore Sanity, a gathering where reasonable people can come together and not shout at one another. Suggested protest signs include "I don't agree with you, but I'm pretty sure you're not Hitler."

That same day, Stephen Colbert is planning a March to Keep Fear Alive, to fight Jon Stewart's "creeping reasonableness" and restore truthiness, because "reason" is just one letter away from "treason!"
