Improv Everywhere is at it again: This time, Charlie Todd and his army of agents covered a mile-long stretch of New York's Brighton Beach in black tie attire.
Participants were instructed to find cheap formalwear at thrift stores, so prepare to see a lot of '80s prom dresses and boxy tuxes frolicking in the heat and swimming in the ocean as though that's remotely comfortable. Wet underwear, that's all I'm gonna say.

Well that was 3 minutes of my time I won't get back. I'm not sure what is worse - that someone took the time to make the video or that someone on aol thought it merited being posted on the aol website.

Obviously, you have no sense of humor. That was unique. What would you came up with. Wearing a speedo? Genius

I thought it was kinda cute. What was scary were those few women who were old and fat that were walking around in a bikini. I mean, REALLY...lol

In the first panel shown, it wasn't the guy in the gay-nineties suit that was funny looking, it was the sun-bathing man laying down watching him! the Granted, our American knee-length "swimwear" is ridiculous, but pudgy guys wearing speedos deserve even MORE ridicule!

I was there! We had such a great time. Granted swimming in a floor length gown was tough (takes mermaid dress to the extreme) but the water was warm and the look of glee on people's faces was priceless! =)

Doesn't seem unusual to me. I've done it many times. Oh, but jeans in a hot tub can do some serious damage. Apparently not all the detergent rinses out of jeans all the time and they can turn a hot tub into a frothy mess.

I thought it was funny, the looks people were giving them were priceless. Coney Island swimmers need to watch to see themselves in some of the swimsuits..I don't think they have mirros in their homes.

Seems that not everyone was entertained by this. I have to ask them about locating their sense of humor. This was funny. Saw one comment concerned with the ruining good clothes. Did that person read the article? MThe players involved were supposed to buy at thrift shops. By the way, who says they'd be ruined by getting wet? Might have been a few that were delicate because of the fabric, but I bet most would have turned out okay once they were laundered or dry cleaned.

It is so important to keep the "child" part of you alive and active. I thought it was great fun and intrigued by the many different things they did beside just swimming in the water. This is a clever and inovative group. Long live Improv.

I think this is a great idea. I would have also loved to be a part of this, and I think it's awesome how many people actually were. I think the man at the end of the video explains it all: it brought a lot of joy to not only those participating, but all that were onlookers as well.
