Tony Danza Twitterdanza
We love celebrities on Twitter. Like Michael Krivicka, we actually kind of worship them.

From Martha Stewart to Kirstie Alley (remember THE ROOT BEER FLOAT INCIDENT?), LeVar Burton to Urly winner Shaquille O'Neal, Kanye West to Justin Bieber, Alyssa Milano to Lady Gaga to Danny "Tweeto" DeVito (we go back) and our old friend Peter Gallagher we have come to understand and appreciate this strange new world in which we can ostensibly communicate directly with people once considered completely untouchable, public figures whose immediate feelings, reactions, and emotions (and proclamations of mundane tasks or boring items) are no longer thoroughly and carefully filtered through publicists [for the most part, duh]. The celebrity on Twitter has opened up a new ecosystem on the internet for anyone who's ever coveted the idea of Fortune and Fame, capital F's!

There is, however, one celeb missing from the Twittersphere, an actor and former boxer whose glory days may be behind him, but to whom we'd happily pay close attention to his every update. As Tony Manero, he commanded the screen on Who's The Boss. On stage, he's commanded the limelight on The Great White Way! He even had a short-lived talk show, which is more than most people can say about the fake talk shows they set up in their living rooms.

And with an upcoming series in which he takes commands of a real-life high school in urban Philadelphia (Dangerous Minds-style), we think it's high time that MR. TONY DANZA join his daughter, Katie (yeah, we found her!), on, like, the most popular thing on the internet.

Now is the time in which we, Urlesque, and you, our loyal readers, visitors, and fans, to help change the world! Join us in our crusade to get Tony Danza onto Twitter! Use the hashtag #twitterdanza and show your friends, family, and followers that you're fighting the good fight in bringing Brooklyn's finest onto Twitter!
Tony, we know you're reading this. So, come on. What do you say, Big Guy? You've already got a web site set up, so why not let Urlesque convince you to take off the proverbial boxing gloves and step it up from your little-watched YouTube video diaries (our favorite video -- Santa Danza, natch -- is featured below).

Join Twitter! Start tweeting, Big T! If you need help, we can walk you through stuff like the retweets and hashtags. Honestly, it's easier than it sounds. If your own kid can do it, so can you! LET US SHOW YOU THE WAY! IT WILL BE NOTHING LESS THAN AN EXTRAVADANZA!!!

...Plus, you've got a TV show coming out and you look really good with that haircut, so the sooner you join Twitter, the sooner you receive a barrage of tweets with ladies calling you a DILF. Srsly.

UPDATE! Twitter user @spitale informs us that Danza is, indeed, on Twitter, but hasn't updated his status in almost a year. So it still (kinda) counts! COME BACK TO US, TONY!
Tony Danza -- Christmas 2009
We'd probably have noticed this sooner if he were on Twitter (see where we're going with this?)!
