In the late 90s, I was on a 56k dial-up connection, so it would take hours to download even the tinest video clips. I got into the habit of leaving the computer and AOL (It was all-caps back then!) connection on all night long so I could download music and video. The first video I can remember seeing was probably a Victoria's Secret commercial. What do you want, I was 14.
Take it away, readers!
it was a dog humping an old lady... yep.
My first foray into the world of the internet brought me straight into meme-dom with the classic "Dancing Baby". Perhaps a precursor of my meme interest to come?
Oh my god mine must have been the dancing baby too!
My first web video was the exploding whale!
best I can remember it was the dancing squirrel with the swinging cojones
I don't think we can show this one on Urlesque...
I received a hilarious dancing penis via email, but I'm not sure that was the first video. Just the first video I saved.
Geeze. Can't show this one either.
yeah I remember the first online video. It was awful. One second I was at the yahoo website and then I clicked on something that was supposed to take me to a music video. All of a sudden the screen got scrambled with all sorts of colors, then it went blank. After that my comp died. Now this was on a Win95 comp with a dial-up connection, which meant that I saw my computer die a slow and painful death.
We've all been there. It's weird to think about how I can't remember the last time my computer crashed. It's been years.
