Wendy's Training Videos From the Eighties Are Delicious (Video)

I love the 80's. Another thing I love? Hot drinks, cold drinks, and chili with cheese from Wendy's. The fast food franchise is delicious, and I don't just say that because they sponsor Urlesque (they don't -- I'm just really into Wendy's, like the way bees are into honey or Michael Jackson was into sleepovers) (sponsor us, Wendy's!).

Some truly priceless footage has surfaced from training videos for Wendy's employees made -- very clearly -- in the eighties. These vids "teach" staffers how to pour drinks in rhyme, which would be odd if it weren't in the context of the era in which they were made, which was the eighties. And the eighties were weird.

Here are the videos, in absolutely no order of crazy whatsoever.

CONTRADICTION IN VIDEOS cold drinks and chili can be served with cheese.Stop the cold drinks video at 50 seconds then stop the dumbass chili video at 116 seconds.One says to put the cup on the left side of the tray the other clearly shows it on the right side.Most jobs have very demeaning training procedures.

Apparently you have not been demeaned enough. If you pay attention to the 'chili' video, the tray is at the 'prep counter' and once the person that works on it picks it up and turns around to serve, the cup for the drink is on the left.

I think the folks at my local McDonald's need a similar video because they can't seem to get an order right the first time even if their live depended on it.
Perhaps now we can make a video to show hookers how to properly use a condom or one for drug addicts telling them that sharing needles is not such a good idea.
As of today, Ronald, Wendy and the King can only hold their heads in shame.

Interesting that the cold drink video states to fill the cup half way with ice. Now, how many of you have had a cup FULL of ice with an eye-dropper's worth of soft drink? One of my main reasons for avoiding Wendy's (especially the drive through) is that they use waaay too much ice.
