Which is why it strikes us as a little odd (but, y'know, cute enough that it sort of cancels itself out) that a prankster used a classic video game to liven up the biking lanes. Aren't video games for couch-happy nerds and burnouts, you ask? Not when it's Mario Kart, the universally beloved racing game that has played a crucial role at parties since the beginning of Nintendo 64.
What s/he did was draw the game's "items" (stars, mushrooms, bananas, and the like) onto the bike lanes, giving riders a small taste of what it's like to be an iconic gaming character in a go-kart, hungry for the gold.
