Jason Schwartzman Michael Cera Weather Forecast As the reviews and internet will tell you, we're in the midst of a bit of a Michael Cera backlash.

Is it because he plays the same character in every movie? Does he even play the same character in every movie? How can you play the same character in every movie when you played two different characters in your last movie?

Whatever the answers are, suffice it to say that there are some of you who probably won't cringe as much as others when MC gets hit by a fake bus in this clip of him and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World co-star Jason Schwartzman doing the weather forecast for Atlanta's own Fox 5.

I bet you've never done any kind of news gathering work for a living. I've been in broadcasting my whole life and people who've never done it at all should try it and see how easy they think it is after they've had to put in time at local town meetings and budget summits. Local news is not a farce, it's the heart of communications, as opposed to satellite radio, which wouldn't know what "live and local" was if it bit them on the butt. Sirius & XM can't tell you what's going on in your local communities to sabe their lives. THAT'S the farce. Get over yourself!

John Wayne played the same character in every movie! Typecast as an average guy with a good heart that likes girls where high-jinks and hilarity ensues is the formula for today's comedies and one that Cera does well; so what's the issue?

See Youth in Revolt. Sure, he plays his typical Michael Cera role but he also plays Francois, his alter ego and its funny and brilliant. Schwartzman doesnt have much of a range either, but they're still getting roles, so clearly someone digs it.
