Oregon Trail was one of the best educational computer games of my childhood, and now it's one of the best fake movie trailers of the year. A comedy group called Half Day Today turned the classic game of fording rivers, hunting buffalo and dying of dysentery into a glorious two-and-a-half minute trip through classroom computing nostalgia.

Jokes include making fun of the carpenter profession (did anyone ever pick it?), showing graves of dead pioneers with the kinds of stupid names we chose as kids (Butt Face! Mac and Cheese!), and only being able to carry 10 pounds of the thousands of pounds of meat you hunted. Aside from the obvious comedy value here, I would probably watch a full-length Oregon Trail feature, as long as Half Day Today were put in charge of it.
