Lauren and JP's Hipster Wedding Video Could Be Ridiculous But Isn't (Video)

Lauren and ~~Jean Pierre~~ JP got married in La Grange, Georgia, where they didn't hire a videographer to shine a light in the faces of aunts and uncles, begging for well wishes for the bride and groom. No, Matt Odom of Rock and Roll Hearts proved that not every wedding video requires footage of a DJ forgetting the name of the newlyweds as he demands everyone lose their minds to Lionel Richie's 'All Night Long.'

With the video set to the music of Passion Pit, Lauren and JP obviously subscribe to the hipster sensibility, with Odom praising the couple for their "creative sensibilities," claiming on the Rock and Roll Hearts blog that "they immediately grasped the concept of what I wanted...which was to create a music video more-so than a wedding video."

So... are hipsters the new Bridezillas? Is "twee" the new "classic"? Most importantly, is Passion Pit the new ABBA?

Beautiful bride and groom..Congratulations on your special day.. loved the music and parts of the video. Maybe the bride was pregnant, maybe not, who cares.. why do you all pass such judgement?.. love is a rare and precious gift, treasure it deeply.

I enjoyed this video. It's nice seeing something "out of the ordinary", especially with two people having similar taste. It kinda gives you a little faith that this would be a marriage that would actually last beyond one year!

Lauren is one of the most beautiful, charismatic & creative brides I've met in a long time.. Their wedding day was unique, full of love and overflowed with fun. Sir Odom did an outstanding job at capturing that in this video.

Morons that write such shallow comments should really be ashamed of themselves.

Mostly nice video, but what's worse than shoving wedding cake in your spouse's face?... having the groom search for the garter while totally disappearing under the wedding dress. And what's worse than that? Wearing sneakers with your tuxedo.

I hereby propose a ban on all Hipster marriages!

Seriously, aside from the way the video was compiled and edited, and the groom and groomsmen wearing chucks, their wedding was a bit too traditional to be certified "hipster."

I mean they had a church wedding, after all, and everyone knows all hipsters are supposed to be atheists.
