How to text girlsWhen you meet someone and you're first establishing the grounds of your texting relationship, finding the perfect words can be daunting...agonizing even. You can imagine our relief when we came across a blog post titled "Funny and Effective First Text Messages" (on a website called How To Text Girls, no less) that understands the challenge and comes armed with creative suggestions:

Here's an example of a BAD first text message: "Hey, how is your day going?"

Yuck! If you send this text the day after you meet a girl, you will almost certainly end up in the "lame/boring" category in her mind.

Here's an example of how to fix that last text... This is an example of a GOOD text message:

• "hey crackerpants! Just what kinda trouble are you getting into today!?"
• "hello my little midget ninja!"
• "what r u up to crazyface?"
• "What has a bottom at the top? -[your name]" (the answer to this one is "your legs, silly!")
Over the weekend, a few of the Urlbots decided to don our most festive cracker pants and give these text suggestions a test drive with our loved ones. See how well they went over, after the break!











NAILED IT. We should all be getting laid within the hour. All that's left to do now is put on some smooth, romantic Baha Men and leave a trail of rose petals, contact lens cases and Dippin' Dots leading to our desks.
