I've never really understood DJ culture. Maybe it's the people proclaiming their work high art when they hit the play button on a laptop or the $350 bottles of vodka that seem to trail them everywhere, I don't know.
However, I do understand this adorable French bulldog with its paw on a record. This dog DJ, Mama, doesn't need fancy laser lights to scratch a good beat, and furthermore whosacuteface? Yes you are!

"I've never really understood DJ culture. Maybe it's the people proclaiming their work high art when they hit the play button on a laptop"
Thanks for prefacing this ignorant remark with "I've never really understood." In a perfect world I'd always receive advance warning that my head is about to get bombarded with stupid.
My advice? Fire up your laptop, "press play" and pop out an effortless masterpiece of very your own. I'm sure we'd all be keen to hear the result.

Well, I guess we all rationalize our artistic prejudices some how. Saying that a musical composition isn't art when you press play is entirely ignorant of the artistic process and how a piece arrives at being what it is. It's like saying that a classical composition ceases to be art when it is recorded and you listen to it, or that a photograph cannot be art because it is mediated through technology. Seriously, think before you type.

The dog isn't doing anything. There is a person, off to the right side of the video, with their hand on the record. You never see the entire turntable in the video because someone else is moving it! Thus, making the dog's paw move on top of the record. Sorry.... busted!
