Westboro thinks that comic fans worship false idols, but these Comic-Con counterprotesters didn't seem to be taking themselves too seriously. They even organized on Twitter, using the hashtag #GodLovesBatman, and got photos of their signs to the top of Reddit and Digg. This is why the geeks shall inherit the earth, my friends.
Our pals at Comics Alliance picked out their favorite awesomely geeky protest signs, so we thought we'd get in on the action, too. Here are some of our favorites, gathered from around the web.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.
"For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him, might be saved" (John 3:16,17).

That makes tons of sense.
