The sound of a dog eating ice cream is actually "om nom nom." I... I don't think there's any pitching left to be done on the video compilation of dogs eating summer treats.
By the way, I checked the rules on feeding dogs chocolate and ice cream is ok as long as it's not, like, Triple Death By Chocolate-Studded Chocolate. To dispose of that flavor, please send cartons to Urlesque, Aol Inc., 770 Broadway, New York, NY 10003.

And we wonder why we are an obese country? Our pets are obese also. There is never any reason to give human ice cream to dogs. What is wrong with people? Idiots. Then a few years down the road when their dogs have all kinds of problems because they are overweight, they have no one to blame but themselves. There ARE ice creams made especially for dogs, and that is always the better choice. Come on people,be kind to your pets. Don't spoil them literally to death.

It's confusing. On the one hand they tell you not to give your dog ice cream or chocolate due to this causing a brain disorder, now they say it's o.k. to give ice cream
???????????????????????????

DO NOT GIVE YOUR DOGS CHOCOLATE OF ANY KIND!!! This writer is very irresponsible for saying it's okay. Chocolate can have many side effects for dogs. And if you have a little teacup or minature dog, you are really taking a chance since it wouldn't take much to cause issues. It is very erratic. One dog may eat chocolate and have no reaction at all and another might eat the exact same kind and amount and die from it. So it's just better to never give them chocolate in any form than be sorry.
There are all sorts of human foods, household products, plants, etc. that are toxic to pets. You can check it out at this website. http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/poison-control/
These bloggers are right about Americans who are loving their pets to death because of obesity. There is nothing terribly wrong with giving your pet a small amount of human ice cream but there is a product called Frosty Paws that is made for your dog so much better for them. But if you are giving treats like this, you should cut back their food to compensate. Pet obesity is a leading cause of health problems in our pets today.
If your dog is obese, you can reduce their weight by substituing green beans for half their food. You can also use canned pumpkin in place of the green beans. This is a trick I learned while volunteer raising service dogs for CCI. But the best thing is to not let your pet get to the point of needing that.
Love your dog by playing, taking them for a walk, or just spending time with them. Loving them by making them fat is no love at all!

I don't know WHERE the writer got his information, but dogs shouldn't eat ANY kind of chocolate OR milk products like ice cream. Chocolate can kill a dog (even small amounts of dark chocolate) and most dogs are lactose intolerant. NEVER give a dog milk unless you want to see if your dog will develop raging diarreah. The only dairy products most dogs can tolerate is cheese (in small amounts) and eggs...cooked of course. NO MILK PRODUCTS FOR THE PUPPIES AFTER THEy ARE DONE WITH THEIR MOMMIES MILK!

Ah, memories! When I was a kid we would take a month long vacation to either Pennsylvania or Louisiana. The trip to Louisiana back then was very HOT. We would stop at a Dairy Queen to get ice cream cones. The order was for "four" and people would look at us, the three of us. When my Dad got into the car with two cones, his right arm would go over the seat - up popped our dog attacking the cone! Everyone got a good laugh at Spotty's attack - never missed a drop of that soft serve!!!!

My dog does eat ice cream because his favorite treat is the "Pup Cup" at Sonic. He is a French Poodle so about 65lbs but I still ask them to only fill the small cup about half way. But that is more because I try to watch his weight than it causes diarrhea. I have had other dogs that also ate ice cream and not have problems. The only issues I ever had was with cheese with one of my dogs so I just don't give it anymore.
Quite honestly, the best thing to do for your dogs is no people food ever! The puppies we raised for CCI were not allowed to have people food so weight and begging were never a problem. The only exception to the people food were occasional snacks of carrots and broccoli. Believe it or not, my dogs always liked these. There are also trainers who dry out chopped weiners to train with. I have a great recipe for dog muffins that includes grated carrots. These were used when we had graduation parties, birthday parties, etc. So never fed during our meal times.
