The internet went to work as soon as LeBron James made his hour-long,
ego-filled "Decision" on ESPN announcing his move from Cleveland to Miami. Cavaliers owner
Dan Gilbert is not the only person bitter over LeBron's choice of bros over snows. Videos and parodies of The Decision and LeBron's escape from Cleveland are popping up more quickly than LeBron can say "Goodbye" (for the record, that's 60 minutes).
The wretched cries of Cleveland fans are all too familiar for another heart-broken group: Hulkamaniacs. As Urlesque friend Jeff Baum said, "Hulk Hogan was the single most celebrated and beloved professional wrestler of all time, turning his back on the millions of Hulkamanics who enabled him all these years, to go join a team of lesser wrestlers and become a villain." Too true. The LeBron-Hogan parallels are so similar you could superimpose LeBron's face on Hogan's body, and then post it on the internet.
Steve Carell and Paul Rudd have also joined in the act, spoofing "The Decision" at the ESPY Awards. And, of course, the ever-quotable Mel Gibson found his way into a NSFW mash-up over LeBron's choice to leave Cleveland. Even McSweeney's, the Internet Tendency journal, has released fragments of
LeBron! The Musical so we call all sing along to failure and shame. LeBron should be realizing that unlike Cleveland, you can't just pack up and leave the internet.
This video is made in Cleveland-vision, so you too can perceive LeBron like a Clevelander.
