key of awesome's glitter puke kesha parody
The Key of Awesome
Let's face it: Ke$ha's 'TiK ToK' isn't going away. It's not a great song -- heck, it might not even be a song! -- but it gets stuck in your head and won't leave you alone. Is it singing? Is it rapping? Is it mind control? Who cares! The party won't stop!

Because 'TiK ToK' is both so catchy and so lyrically asinine, it makes sense that it's one of the most parodied and most covered songs on the web. You can't swing a microphone without hitting a 'TiK ToK' video these days, so I figured I'd watch them all, so you don't have to. (You're welcome!)

Check out a huge helping of Ke$ha parodies and covers after the jump, and get ready to say "seen it" to your friends with less, uh, swagger.
Glitter Puke
From The Key of Awesome
The Key of Awesome consistently makes excellent pop song parodies -- like the Justin Bieber one we've covered before -- and Glitter Puke is no exception. Cameo by Fake Dr. Drew!
Glitter Puke Fan Video!
Someone REALLY likes The Key of Awesome
The Glitter Puke video apparently inspired some serious fans, because these kids have faithfully recreated the whole thing. Amazing!
'Sing Talk'
CollegeHumor.com's Ke$ha Parody
This has been on Urlesque before, but it's one of our favorites. CollegeHumor delivers some funny insight on the whole Ke$ha phenomenon, accusing her of being unable to do anything but "sing talk" into a laptop.
This is another one we've already checked out, and Urlbot Cole judged it "actually not bad." No parody lyrics here, just perfectly cut scenes from Star Trek, the original series, that match the Ke$ha song exactly. Hilarity in space!
The Star Wars Version
Had to post this one after Star Trek!
While the production value here isn't as excellent as its Star Trek counterpart, the Star Wars version gets bonus points for being an actual live-action video. It's quite bizarre, and I'm not sure what inspired it, but there you go.
'TiK ToK to the Future'
The Party Don't Start til Marty McFly Walks In
Another recut movie version, this time with Back to the Future. I had no idea there were so many scenes in that movie that matched Ke$ha's lyrics. Looking back, though, it's obvious that time travel is just one big party.
'TiK ToK' Simpsons Intro
Gonna Hit This City (Springfield!)
This is probably the best thing to come out of The Simpsons in years. My favorite part is how they take "boys blowing up our phones" literally. As Cole points out in another Urlesque post, this is an extension of the lipdub video trend, just with animated characters instead of live action.
'Nerd' by Travi$
aka YouTube's WhatTravisSays
Back to the parody lyrics! This entry by Travi$ -- better known as WhatTravisSays on YouTube -- deals with topics of the nerdly persuasion. Harry Potter? Math? Sci-fi? It's all here, along with a framed photo of Doctor Who star David Tennant.
The Snooki Song
Jersey Shore version by YouTube's VenetianPrincess
VenetianPrincess, one of the most popular users on YouTube, swaps out one crazy celebrity for another, replacing Ke$ha with Jersey Shore's Snooki. Warning: spray tan.
'Boy Scout Song'
Be Prepared for this parody by Thirty100
Brought to you by Thirty100, this is a song about what would happen if Ke$ha were the opposite of Ke$ha: responsible, always prepared, and a dude.
'X BoX'
By YouTube's FrenkHooley
And what if Ke$ha were in a monogamous relationship with a video game system? YouTube's FrenkHooley tells us all about it in 'X BoX.'
Tyler Ward Acoustic Cover
It sounds better this way.
Tyler Ward shows us the acoustic emo band side of Ke$ha. I don't know if it's safe to turn 'TiK ToK' into real music, but Tyler sure tries.
Yoonha85 Piano Cover
Played by ear?!
Yoonha85, aka Yoonha Hwang from Korea, plays pop covers entirely by ear, classical-piano style. This is another version of 'TiK ToK' that involves actual musicianship. Great playing, Yoonha, but I don't think even you can make this song pretty.
Ukelele Cover by Euphausia
Super cute!
We love ukelele covers at Urlesque, so I naturally had to include one here. This is Deena, aka Euphausia, from Australia, who has been playing the uke for a little over a year. Her cover is totally adorable, even though she apologizes for being a "bad rapper." Deena, I don't think bad rapping disqualifies you from doing a good 'TiK ToK' cover.
