Fords are built Ford Tough. Chevys are like a rock. GMCs are professional grade (whatever that means). The point is, you can't label any of these vehicles as soft. And for good reason. Who wants to ride down the highway in anything but the most solid, dent-resistant personal fuel beast possible?
With bikes though, you don't really need all that hardness, which makes it surprising that it's taken so long for someone to build a more flexible bike.
That someone is 21-year-old British designer Kevin Scott. By employing a ratchet based system, he has designed a bike he can wrap around a pole, allowing the lock to pass through both tires plus the frame. Hardened criminals are no match for this soft bike. Plus it's pretty cool looking. Kinda reminds me of Pokey from Gumby.

another fine example of british engineering, a bicycle that folds up when push comes to shove, or when you are taking a steep corner at 40mph, HHAHAHAHAHA!

seems like too good an idea to waste on a poor bike. good idea for a car you could fold into a tight parking spot.

Right. I saw Hoss Cartwright on Bonanza with a rifle with the barrel bent 90 degrees, too. it was supposed to "shoot around corners" haha

Tater............FYI the Germans built multiple weapons, full auto and single shot rifles, with bent barrels that did indeed shoot around corners. Check your history.

The 90 degree barrel is real, try doing a little history reading before poping off with dumb responses.

I was shocked and disgusted that this guy wasn't wearing a helmet but then realized it was in England. Hope he doesn't fall off his bendable bike and bust his head open, like we used to do here in the colonies before we started having to wear those silly things.

Hate to burst anyones bubble, but when we lived in Germany in the 70's, a British woman in our building who worked at AAFES with me, had a bike that folded in half. We used to ride out bikes to work in good weather, and if it turned nasty, she folded it in half and rode the bus. Hardly a new thing at all. As for guns that shoot around corners, that the biggest bunch of BS I've ever hear of. Once a bullet leaves the end of the gun, it's going straight in the direction it is aimed at. Now if you have a very small guided missle type bullet you're shooting, that might be a different matter. Other wise, get your head out of your arse. Remember, believe only 1/2 of what you see and none of what you just hear!! And yes, we have guns and shoot, plus we keep up with firearm current news and development. Just curious how that bullet would no how far the corner was and which way to turn. Ah, what a good laugh for the day that would be if it wasn't so ignorant a remark!!!

I have seen the guns with the curved barrel. The design used today is a 90 degree bracket that mounts a regular pistol employs a mirror at 45 degrees in alignment with the sights and cable linkages to the trigger.

Time for your dumb azz to break out the history books. There was in fact guns with bent barrels. Did they work good no but they did work.

This folding concept goes back at least as far back as World War 2. BSA made the "Para-Bike" for the British Airborne Forces during the war. It was air droped with the troops on D-Day, the Arnhem Operation, and the Crossing of the Rhine. My para bike won Best of Class at the 1978 National Convention of the Military Vehicle Collector's Club

The Germans had a curved barrel rifle, not very accurate and it wore the rifling out quite fast. the British now have an assault rifle that hinges in the middle, letting you shoot around a corner, also the optics on it work. When you make a stupid statement, research first, so you dont make a fool out of yourself.
