Lebron James
LeBron James, one of the best basketball players in the world, just got a major scolding in Comic Sans, one of the worst fonts ever created. Wait, what?

After James declared he wouldn't re-sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cavs majority owner Dan Gilbert unleashed a furious anti-Lebron letter to fans, written in the silly font that comes preinstalled on every computer.

"[Fans] simply don't deserve this cowardly betrayal," he wrote, in a font designed for schoolchildren and poorly-drawn web comic strips.

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER 'KING' WINS ONE" he continued, now using the bold version of a typeface not even a clown's mother would love.

Yes, the sense of betrayal in Cleveland is real, and probably pretty serious, but the power of Gilbert's words is lost in the ridiculousness of his font choice.

Vincent Connare, the creator of Comic Sans, went on WNYC radio to defend the font after the LeBron letter made it a trending topic on Twitter.

Comic Sans has also issued a NSFW statement via McSweeney's: "I'm Comic Sans, as$h*le."
