Show him white stars like Miley Cyrus and Tom Cruise, and he's totally calm. Show him famous African-Americans, like Denzel Washington, Oprah, and even Martin Luther King, Jr., and he yowls.
Can a cat really be racist? This video has been viewed over 600,000 times on YouTube by people trying to make up their minds.
Maybe the cat's owner Freddie Wong, who's famous for special effects videos like the flashlight gunfight and Standing Cat in Boots, is pulling a trick on us. Maybe there's something else about those specific photos, not just race, that sets the cat off. But come on, kitty ... you should have at least growled at Hitler!

Over at Digg we decided this was fake long ago. Just look at the cat's mouth; CGI for sure. I'm also not sure what the point of this video is... It's not very entertaining...

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! CGI?? get off the drugs. It seems more like the cat is responding to something that isn't on the screen i.e. A cat toy someone is holding.
I don't think there is point to the vid; other than 47 seconds of lolz.

Dude, even in the still of the YouTube video you can see the cat's mouth doesn't look right. The jaw is altered, the open mouth put in (the textures are wrong, and have you ever seen a cat with fucked up teeth like that?), and the cheeks are pushed up with each "meow." Even URLesque points out that this video comes from guys known for adding special effects to their vids.
And the lolz were... where, again? It wasn't even remotely funny. Unless, of course, you were on drugs.

I had a black cat for many years when I was younger and she was familiar with light skin faces since she was a house cat. Once in a while when we had some darker skin friends came by my cat would be afraid, but not so much with lighter skin friends. It's the some with people in different walks of life. Not used to something and your natural reaction is many times fear until you became more familiar...

No kidding, when I was a child in the 1950s, my friend's dog, a German Shephard, went postal when a Black male (rarely seen in my hometown) happened to pass by. He actually attacked, but no contact was made. The poor man took off! Now, semi-seriously I have to say that if I showed my female kitty a picture of Obama, I'm pretty sure she'd hiss and spit -- as I would. (because of his politics, of course).
