The obsolescence of a worldwide network of computers comes as news to Urlesque. Trust us, the internet is not dead. Prince has just managed to troll the whole web without even being online.
While other artists are getting rich promoting themselves online, Prince's new album "20Ten" will be distributed exclusively on CD and given away for free with copies of the Daily Mirror newspaper. I guess a dying medium is a fitting place to carry on a dying career.
I love Prince's music, but the guy's just shooting himself in the foot, here. On the other hand, by staying off the internet, he can at least avoid having to tour North Korea like Justin Bieber.

Are you sure he's not just fighting to save the record industry?

Prince is still an idiot, no matter what he says.

Prince should be singing "What Kind of Fool Am I?"

did you just say the career of Prince is over just because he doesn't want to put his songs on the internet. get real his songs will be on the internet if he likes it or not. I think he is making a point. It's not like he needs the money. And Prince has a huge following that will buy his album/cd/tape anywhere...... but that is no reason to say his career is over.

Hummmmm Sorry but his career has been over for years now. Are you just waking up from a long sleep? No one wants to listen to his old lazy ass songs. His day is over. He made money not it's time for him to retire and go away. No one wants to listen to his tired old songs anymore. He's already in denial, one step away from mental dementia. Time for him to get a wheelchair and a rocking chair.

Prince has always been a loser. He is rude to his fans and thinks he is better than other people just because he is a mediocre singer. Anyone who buys this losers garbage will be contributing to the proliferation of sub-standard entertainment. I'll be glad when both Prince and Madonna are finally judged by history as low class scum and thrown in the trash can of reality.

Ditto. I have never understood why he ever became an item. A little arrogant C- talent who can't play his guitar and sings like a 12 year old alter boy. As if anything he says has any merit. The internet is over? What rock is he living under?

Prince will forget more about music theory than you'll ever learn. Now shut up and go back to your Metallica or T-shirt bands that play everything in the only key they know...,E as in Easy!

I won't debate whether or not Prince's carrer is over. I am glad he spoke out because I completely agree that the quality of music has been eroded through the internet and as he so astutely commented on the "gadgets" everyone falls in love with. I agree that fads come and go and nothing will ever replace true talend and perfomances!

C-rated musician who can't play a guitar? PlEASE! Have you been asleep for the last 20-30 years ? Prince is one of the greatest musicians of our time and one of the great guitarist of this era!Whoever made that comment obviously has no concept of modern music history or what REAL talent is all about! Stay off the drugs so you won't keep making such ludicrous statements!

Ennui is right, how many dollars can possibly be waste on these silly gadgets, when it should be going to research to find cancer cures, environmentally responsible production, and making disaster-proof housing? This country needs a serious resorting of its priorities!

Gadgets do not make the internet. Gadgets are things, the internet is what connects those things. The things themselves may be obsolete or stupid or useless or any number of insulting terms but that doesn't make the internet obsolete.
Also, you are claiming the internet is obsolete on the internet, good work.
Oh. Wait. Troll. Ha ha, you sure fooled me!

All real musicians understand and recognize Prince's genius. Prince could be the Mozart of his era and definitely earned the respect of millions. To state his career is over becuase of comments regarding the world wide web is ridiculous.
I am a fan of technology, but even a bigger fan of real music.

I always loved his music but go to youtube and try to see a video, you might find one but I doubt it,he doesnt allow his stuff on there.Seems to me that an artist would use every medium there is to push sales of his product but not prince......

Actually, he hasn't really had a hit in the 90s - pretty much just the 80s.
