bald eagleUrlbots! It was our nation's birthday this weekend (well, my nation's birthday, anyway, and maybe yours too)! You can tell, because I have used this badass picture of a bald eagle for this post. Look at it! Wow, what an awesome team mascot. Way better than the turkey, Benjamin Franklin (that's right, I've been to elementary school. Jealous?!).

In the past, we've brought you ultra cute kids celebrating the 4th, given you advice on where to buy your fireworks, and even keyed you in to fireworks on the web.

But, what happened this weekend in the world of 4th of July memes? That is what you would like to know. Luckily, even though you didn't ask, you shall receive. After the break, check out some of the 4th of July memes from...the 4th of July.

First off, this insanely awesome picture of everything good about America:

Look at it! This picture is so patriotic it makes me want to punch a British person. What else happened for this 4th? Well, NPR posted recently declassified footage of the only H-bomb ever exploded in space (that we know of!!!). It is basically the best light show of all time:

Pretty awesome, I think you will agree. What else happened? Oh, nothing, just some people sold "Yup, I'm A Racist" t-shirts at the Lexington, Kentucky July 4th Festival. Basically, these people are protesting being called racists by selling t-shirts that say "Yup, I'm A Racist." Neat how logic works, huh? I'm glad we're still teaching it in schools.

In a less racist move, Web Urbanist posted a killer gallery of fireworks. Click on the picture below to check it out.

Finally, here's a brief and hilarious tutorial on fireworks safety from Back of the Class:

Happy (belated) birthday, America!
